EB Design International (EBDI) is a Northamptonshire based company who operate internationally offering ‘complete retail solutions’. A prestigious client portfolio to their name, they felt they needed a website that showcased their talent and backed up their industry credibility.

Since achieving great success in the UK; venturing into the international market was, at the time, an unknown for the UK based EB Designs, this was made especially difficult due to the discretion needed when sharing project details in relation to their many incredible clients. The main focus would instead be on their first class expertise and processes.

It was imperative that the website design complimented the recently developed brand collateral, we were tasked with taking the already well thought out graphic look and feel to the next level for the web.

“…from the initial consultation to final delivery Toxic Creative have conducted themselves in a very professional and diligent manner. Your input and transparency has been very much appreciated and has contributed to the delivery of a very well received website.” Joe Giammalva – Director

The brief dictated that the design should be heavily image based, incredibly well refined and handled with a delicate touch. The direction we settled on was inspired by high fashion lead magazines such as Vogue and was described by the client as ‘timeless luxury’.

With a varied customer base, it was vital that EBDI’s services could just as easily be associated with a sports brand as much as fashion or luxury; the design needed to work flawlessly when placed against a multitude of different imagery. The monochrome palette allows this to be achieved, with the only injections of colour coming from full screen background photography and rollover navigational tiles.

For us, it wasn’t just the design that would portray EBDI at their best, but instead through the entire user experience… We approached this experimentally and produced two design directions. To allow the client to get a proper feel for how the site would work for users, we built both initial design concepts and supplied them to the client for review as usable prototypes. This meant they could start to witness the benefits of the smallest and most subtle interactions, such as rollovers, differing user states.
